Be it in business or in our personal lives big events are among the most important events in our lives: even those where we are celebrating for someone else but especially those held for us such as Birthdays and of course weddings.

Celebrations for family and friends can see hundreds of people come together to celebrate one thing and also of course to catch up and socialise. A big family wedding can be the highlight of the year but also events like birthdays, especially major ones like 18th, 21st and 50th birthdays. Then there are anniversaries such as Silver, Diamond and Ruby and then events such as Bar Mitzvahs and other important ceremonies and events specific to different cultures and religions. Events such as retirements and Christmas parties may be more about celebrating with friends and colleagues but are also important; then there are business events like conferences and conventions that may be the big industry events of the year and a chance to see friends and competitors from across the industry.

In any event the venue is vital, it is where everything takes place and may well be responsible for a lot of other elements such as food, drink, entertainment and decorations.

The size of a venue though needs to be a first consideration, you will need to know how many people are coming therefore and choose based on this: this excludes many venues and some who say they can deal with big groups can’t. Make sure you see venues and find out how they would fit so many people in: if they will be squeezed in or spread across different rooms then you may want to look elsewhere. At somewhere like a banquet hall it can be very easy to see how they will fit everyone in. You may also need to consider space for things like entertainment and perhaps a stage, this may need to be alongside tables where people will eat.
At conferences and conventions you may need many different rooms for different uses such as meetings, speeches, talks and networking or perhaps also exhibiting: plus you may also want to hold a meal or banquet as well. Banquet halls are designed to have flexible floor space so can be divided up as needed or for big events you can have a large open space where everyone can sit communally and eat and then enjoy entertainment in the same space.

Banquet Halls are also ideal when you are going to have a celebration based around a meal; banquets are all about celebration and sharing a large meal is a great way to enjoy yourself with friends and family. Banquet halls can of course feed hundreds of guests efficiently and at the same time, with of course the right dishes: with diverse dietary requirements not being a problem.

Many banquet halls are also very impressive buildings and interiors but they also tend to be set up so they can be decorated as needed and this will often be organised and done by the venue.
